Risk disclosure

Please read this before you trade or invest. It describes the risks, and the limits of what EdgeLabHub can show you.

You can lose money

Trading and investing involve substantial risk of loss, and you can lose more than you expected, including your whole investment. Only risk money you can afford to lose.

Leveraged products such as forex and futures can lose faster than the amount you put in. Stocks can fall sharply and stay down, and can be hard to sell at the price you want.

Not investment advice

EdgeLabHub is an analytics tool. It is not a broker, exchange or investment adviser, and it does not know your finances, goals or tax position. Strategy results, screener lists, portfolio views and AI answers are information, not recommendations. Decide for yourself, or speak to a qualified adviser.

Backtests, replays and forward tests

  • Past results do not predict future results. A strategy that worked on history may fail on new prices, especially if it was tuned until it looked good.
  • Simulations cannot capture everything: real fills, queue position, liquidity, outages and your own nerves under real money. We count fees and slippage, but the real thing can differ.
  • A forward test is more honest than a backtest because it uses prices the strategy never saw, but a small number of trades can still mislead. A verdict becomes more meaningful with more trades.
  • Replay trading is practice. Doing well in replay does not mean you will do well live.

AI answers

The Copilot, trade explanations, sell-or-hold views and the screener chat are produced by AI. They can be wrong, outdated or miss important facts such as company news, results, taxes or your circumstances. Treat them as a starting point and check them against the data.

Market data

Prices, news and company figures come from third-party sources. They can be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and end-of-day figures are not live prices. Always confirm a price with your broker before you trade.

Placing orders through EdgeLabHub

  • An order sent from EdgeLabHub is a real order with real money, carried out by your broker. EdgeLabHub only sends it after you confirm it, and it cannot be undone from EdgeLabHub.
  • A market order fills at the live price, which can be different from the last price shown. A limit order may never fill.
  • Brokers and exchanges can reject, delay or change orders, and trading can be halted.
  • Selling a holding can have tax consequences. EdgeLabHub does not give tax advice.
  • Check the details on the confirmation step and in your broker app every time.

Using tools responsibly

Use risk limits you can keep, size positions so that a loss will not hurt you, and be wary of anything that promises guaranteed returns. The goals and limits in EdgeLabHub are reminders that you set, not protection against loss.

Your responsibility

You alone are responsible for your trading and investment decisions and their results. By using EdgeLabHub you accept the risks described here and in our terms.
